Ecosystem health services
Microbial Management Systems has a focus on microorganisms and their involvement in ecosystem health and as remediation solutions through building microbial communities.
Identifying ecosystem health problems
Microorganisms respond rapidly to disturbances and are early indicators of ecosystem change. Cost savings can result through the early diagnosis and treatment of environmental problems via the better management of microbes.
We undertake:
- microbiology testing of soil, organic matter and water to provide objective information to support decisions concerning ecosystem health, and
- surveys of fungal fruiting bodies to detect environmental changes.
We can assess soil, organic matter (eg, compost), fertilizers and soil conditioners, and water samples sent to our laboratory. Contact us to discuss your requirements, and for sampling protocols and prices.
Providing environmental solutions
We provide:
- bioremediation solutions for soil management, including the restoration and building of the microbial communities that are required for the establishment of stable soils, and
- microbial solutions to convert organic wastes generated through the activities of the agricultural, forest and food processing industries into valuable economic and environmental resources which can be of further value, especially in soil remediation activities.
